For almost 100 years, this building was Kirkwall’s public library. A space for the community to come together, learn, and share experiences!

In creating this space, we’ve drawn inspiration from the building’s founder, 19th century philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. The Old Library is once-again a space for the public to enjoy.

A place for you to work. A hub to meet other like-minded people. And space for you to write your own next chapter!

Super fast! We’ve got a 1Gb line in place. This means you can do your Zoom calls, upload your latest marketing video, and watch some YouTube tutorials all at the same time!

We’re open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We’re also open over evenings and weekends for pre-booked workshops, events, and meeting room hire.

We have a communal canteen in the building, with plenty fridge space for you to store your own goods!

There’s also a great choice of cafes, bakeries and grocery stores on the high street – all within a literal stone’s throw!

There’s a variety of spaces. Ranging from 2 person meeting pods, right up to 60+ person event spaces.

Each area of the building is zoned using the latest access control systems. There’s also CCTV throughout.

We’ve taken great care to ensure the security of all of our members, whilst always ensuring the space respects your privacy.
